Steve is an Executive Partner with both Lindsay Goldberg and F3 Partners. As Executive Partner, he sits on the Board of Directors for multiple businesses for both investment firms. Additionally, Steve is looking for multiple assets to help purchase for the Firm in the healthcare and business services fields.
Formerly Steve was the Chief Business Development Officer for Optum Behavioral Health Services. In his prior role, Steve was responsible for developing partnerships and strategic alliances with large, global companies as well as smaller innovative organizations that are an integral part of Optum’s corporate strategy and a cornerstone to delivering value.
Previously, starting with its founding in 2017, Steve was the Founder and the Chief Executive Officer of Refresh Mental Health. He led the company through multiple private equity owners and ultimately through the sale to and transition / integration with Optum (part of United Healthcare).
Prior to Refresh, Steve was a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Crestview Capital Partners LLC, which owned and operated several outpatient mental health centers. Prior to Crestview, he was a co-founder, Director and Vice President of corporate development for RiverMend Health, a multi-site national behavioral health company funded by Norwest Venture Partners.
With a background in law, Steve was the General Counsel and/or consultant to many medical technology and healthcare companies originating out of University of Florida intellectual property. Prior to his business and counsel roles, he was a practicing attorney as a Deputy Solicitor General for the State of Florida and for Justice Wells at the Florida Supreme Court.
Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts in History from Yale College, his Juris Doctorate and Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Florida, and his Masters of Bioethics from the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.
Steve was the Yale Varsity Swimming Team Captain for the 1998-99 season and recently started competing in Masters events nationally in both pool and open water competitions and is nationally ranked in multiple events for his age group. He enjoys spending time with his wife Katherine and their four children. Three of his four children swim competitively and the fourth competes in rowing. Steve serves on the Board of Trustees for his alma mater the Bolles School in Jacksonville Florida and is the Chair of the Investment Committee for the school overseeing the endowment.
